Mislatel is now called "Dito Telecommunity"
Philippines's official 3rd telco Mislatel has just been renamed "Dito Telecommunity".

To recall, Mistatel (Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, Inc.) is a consortium Udenna Corporation, Chelsea Logistics, and China Telecom.

The group formally announced its name change on Monday, July 8, 2019, right after getting its permit to operate from the government.
Dito said that it aims to deliver internet speed as fast as 55 Mbps to 84.01 percent of the national coverage within 5 years. In our report yesterday, the company said that it will spend PHP 257 billion to make the rollout possible.
Dito will start receiving its first subscribers by 2020. Adel Tamano, its spokesperson, was also optimistic about providing Filipinos with 5G technology.
In 5 years, the company promises to cover the country with 5G. It will come with speed offerings that are 10 times faster than what is currently being offered by Globe and Smart.
Now, let's hope that Dito will deliver and make the PH internet situation better.
