OPPO Reno has a premium design that sports a glass back protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It has a matte finish for better grip and fewer fingerprint marks. The Samsung Galaxy A70, on the other hand, is made out of glass-like polycarbonate material.

In terms of build, the OPPO Reno comes out ahead with a more premium build since it has a Gorilla Glass 5 protected back.

In the looks department, the refreshing style of the OPPO Reno with a vertical strip accent at the back is ahead of the Galaxy A70's functional yet generic back design. The OPPO Reno also has a notch-less screen which is always a plus.

DisplayThe OPPO Reno has a 6.4-inch Gorilla Glass 6 protected AMOLED screen with 2340 x 1080 FHD+ resolution at 403 ppi.

Samsung Galaxy A70, on the hand, has a huge 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED screen with a 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution as well at 393 ppi. No mention of Gorilla Glass protection though.

OPPO Reno has no notches thanks to its pop-up selfie camera. The Galaxy A70 has a taller cinematic screen that is brighter and has more contrast.

Specs - For performance, OPPO Reno has a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 710 octa-core AIE processor, Adreno 616 GPU, 6GB of RAM with 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 flash charge.

Samsung Galaxy A70 has the 2.0GHz Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor and Adreno 612 GPU, 6GB of RAM with 128GB of expandable storage, and a huge 4,500mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging.

Reno has a faster CPU, GPU, and bigger and faster storage, but the Galaxy A70 has expandable storage, a bigger battery, and faster-charging technology.

Both also come with speedy 4G LTE connectivity and dual-band WiFi.

Cameras - The OPPO Reno is equipped with a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 sensor + 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor. It also has CAF, PDAF and LED flash. It also has a 16MP f/2.0 selfie sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A70 has a 32MP f/1.7 main sensor paired + 8MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens + 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor with AF and LED flash. It also has a 32MP f/2.0 selfie sensor.

In terms of main camera specs, the OPPO Reno has a bigger 48MP main camera sensor while the Galaxy A70 has 32MP only. However, the Galaxy A70 has three cameras with a dedicated ultra-wide sensor and depth sensor.

For selfies, Samsung takes the lead with a 32MP f/2.0 sensor. The OPPO Reno has a 16MP f/2.0 sensor mounted on a pop-up selfie camera.

At PHP 22,990, Galaxy A70 could be the one for those who need a phone with a larger screen and battery capacity.

At PHP 26,990, OPPO Reno is for those who can spend a bit more. It is the better-looking device with more powerful specs, true full-screen design, and powerful 48MP cameras.
