Redmi rolls out 20,000mAh and 10,000mAh power banks

Xiaomi is looking to expand its budget brand Redmi beyond smartphones. Among its first ventures outside the realm of handsets is the introduction of two high-capacity power banks, the Redmi PB100LZM and the Redmi PB200LZM.

The 2-way power banks come with dual input and output

The power banks would be sold in 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities. Both of these come in white and a sturdy-looking, compact polycarbonate body. While the juice packs look like peas-in-a-pod design-wise, they have a few differences in build and certain features.

PB100LZM highlights 

The PB100LZM has a 10,000mAh battery capacity and comes in a slim and long form-factor at 150.5 x 73.6 x 15.1 mm to be exact. It features dual outputs: two USB-A ports, and two inputs: a micro USB and a USB-C port.

The power bank reportedly also has low-voltage, reset function, and seven other layers of device protection. It has a power button and an LED indicator as well.

Redmi PB200LZM highlights

20,000mAh

The PB200LZM, on the other hand, boasts a 20,000mAh battery capacity. Apart from larger battery capacity, it also supports fast charging and comes in a stouter, more compact-looking form factor. It does share the same output and input ports as the PB100LZM.

The Redmi power banks are expected to go on sale in China starting July 23 and will come with around USD 8/PHP 400 (10,000 mAh) and USD 14/PHP 700 (20,000 mAh) price tags. 

Different-colored variants are also expected to hit the market following its initial release.
