Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro now official

Redmi just announced its latest mid-range smartphone line, the Redmi Note 8 series.

Redmi Note 8 series boasts quad rear cameras

Redmi Note 8 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. It is powered by Snapdragon 665, Adreno 610 GPU, 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage.

It will run on the Android 9 Pie along with MIUI 10. The quad rear camera setup is consisted of a 48MP main camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light shots, 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP sensor for 2cm macro shots. Meanwhile, it will have a 13MP selfie camera.

It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner that unlocks faster and comes with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both the front and back with splash-resistant coating. 

Redmi Note 8 packs a 4000mAh of battery with support for 18W fast charging.

Meanwhile, the more premium Redmi Note 8 Pro feature the similar specs except that it is equipped with 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core w/ 2 x 2.27GHz Cortex A76 and 6 x 1.7GHz Cortex A55 along with Mali G76 GPU. 

It will also have up to 8GB RAM and 64MP main rear camera, which will be the first for Redmi. The Note 8 Pro also has IP52 rating for protection against rain and sweat.

Price and availability 

The Redmi Note 8 will be available in Black, Blue, and White colors. It will go on sale in China from September 17.
