A new budget phone emerges! Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has just released the Redmi 8A in India.

Redmi 8A highlights a polycarbonate back aura wave grip design that reminds us of OPPO Reno.

It also has P2i water splash resistance coating, 6.2-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protected IPS HD+ Dot Drop notch screen, 12nm Snapdragon 439 octa-core chip, up to 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, and massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W USB-C charging support.

It is also a rare budget phone with a 12MP f/1.9 Sony IMX363 sensor with Dual PDAF focus. According to the brand, it is designed to take "pro-like" pictures. For selfies, there's an 8MP snapper.
It doesn't have a fingerprint scanner, but it has face unlock.
The phone runs with Android 9.0 Pie OS with MIUI 10 skin.
In India, the 2GB variant is priced at INR 6,499 (around PHP 4.7K) while the 3GB RAM version retails for INR 6,999 (around PHP 5.1K).
It will be available starting September 29 at Flipkart and Xiaomi India's website.
