This partnership will promote financial inclusion in Manila by providing 1,000 students under the scholarship programs of the LGU with GCash accounts. GCash said that financial inclusion has always been one of their biggest goals and the partnership forged with the City Government of Manila and Yorme Isko is a big step forward.

The scholars will receive their allowances and monetary benefits through the GCash platform. They can also enjoy the other features of GCash such transactions on physical and online stores, buy load, open up a savings account, and even invest money in market funds.

The GCash app can also grant them access to a credit line. They can also use their GCash wallets to pay for their groceries at GCash QR-powered stores, send money to their loved ones, and enjoy experiences like watching movies and supporting advocacies.

Students will also get their own GCash Mastercards that can be used to withdraw money or use at stores through POS.
