GrabShare suspended due to COVID-19

Following the spike in Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the country and to aid in the social distancing prescribed by the Philippine health officialsGrab announced that GrabShare will be suspended temporarily in the Philippines.

No GrabShare starting tomorrow

The suspension will take effect in Metro Manila and Cebu from March 13, 2020, starting at 12NN. 

According to the company, the 
GrabShare service is slated to be resumed once the COVID-19 health situation dies down. Other Grab transport services will remain active and available to serve its users.

Grab also states that the suspension will not affect the rates of its remaining services. The company also wants to remind users to plan their trips accordingly and to be cautious when outside and maintain proper hygiene to avoid contracting the virus.

The Philippines is currently standing at 49 confirmed COVID-19 cases. If you can stay at home as much as possible, wash your hands religiously, bring alcohol and hand sanitizers, and maintain proper hygiene to keep safe.
