For the price, realme 6 Pro with 90Hz screen has decent battery life and fast charging speed
Commonly, phones with high refresh rate screens drain more power than handsets with traditional 60Hz displays, especially in the mid-range category.

realme 6 Pro has decent battery life despite its use of a high refresh rate screen
Fortunately, that is not the case with the new realme 6 Pro—a PHP 16,990 mid-range smartphone equipped with a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD screen with FHD+ resolution.
How and why?
First, realme equipped it with a power-efficient 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor. This chip uses the big.LITTLE technology which can switch between two sets of processor cores to maximize performance and battery life and a 5th generation AI Engine + Hexagon Tensor Accelerator designed to deliver better performance with lower power consumption.
Second, the battery capacity is quite large at 4,300mAh. It is up by 300mAh versus other handsets with the usual 4,000mAh battery.

The result? In our video looping test, the realme 6 Pro lasted for a little over 19 hours at auto-brightness and silent volume. That's quite impressive.
At PCMark's Work 2.0 battery life, it yielded 12 hours and 49 minutes of usage.
In our actual daily usage with default brightness/refresh rate, silent volume, 4G LTE or WiFi on always, we were able to use the handset from 8AM to 10PM with 25 percent left in the tank.
How about charging?

realme loaded this handset with the USB-C 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 support. It is up by 10 to 12W versus most 18 to 20W previous-gen chargers in the sub-PHP 20K category.
The result? It has really fast charging speeds. It charged the realme 6 Pro to 65 percent in 30 minutes and 100 percent in 1 hour and 5 minutes from 0 to 100 percent.
Versus the older VOOC 3.0, it is faster by at least 30 minutes.
This type of charger is also safe. It uses avoids overheating and it has tweaks to ensure object detection and HDVC. It also has an optimized VFC algorithm that reduces charging time required for the final 10 percent of the capacity for safer charging.
Quick thoughts
Apart from its great screen, cameras, and good actual performance, the realme 6 Pro comes with decent battery life and fast charging speeds. This allows its users to enjoy the phone more without worrying much about draining your battery quickly or wasting time while waiting for the realme 6 Pro to be fully charged.
