OPPO announces OPPO AR Glass 2021 and OPPO CybeReal AR application

Along with the rollable phone, OPPO debuted the OPPO AR Glass 2021 and OPPO CybeReal AR application at the OPPO INNO DAY 2020.

OPPO AR Glass 2021 uses a new split design tech making the device compact and ultra-light. Versus its predecessor, the device is nearly 75 percent lighter. The glass is built with the Birdbath optical solution to enhance the immersive experience.

It features diverse sensors including the stereo fisheye camera, ToF sensor, and one RGB camera. OPPO said that this can only support a number of natural interactions, including interactions via smartphone, gesture-based interactions, and spatial localization, but also complete the three-dimensional spatial localization calculation within milliseconds, achieving precise localization and offering users real and natural experience of spatial interaction in the AR world through constant update and feedback of the real-time position of the user within the space.

OPPO CybeReal AR application

OPPO CybeReal AR application, on the other hand, is powered by a real-time spatial calculation technology which enables high-precision localization and scene recognition. OPPO said that it is supported by OPPO's three core technologies including accurately reconstructing the world to the centimeters, real-time high-precision localization, and OPPO Cloud.

The company boasts that this tech will enrich the user's perception and understanding of the real world.

Apart from the new concept solutions, OPPO noted that the company is determined to pursue virtuous innovations and create more excellent products using its 3+N+X technology development strategy.
