Initially, vivo saw a 14 percent decline in the volume of handset shipments during the first half of 2020. That did not stop the company to strive for an aggressive approach in terms of digital innovations. This helped vivo get consistent sales growth throughout the rest of the year.

vivo is one of the two smartphone brands that showed growth in Q1 2020. In Q2, it became the number one brand in PH in Q2 2020 after recording the biggest market share. In Q3, it remained one of the top brands with a 667 percent YoY growth.

According to the IDC Quarterly Mobile Phone tracker, vivo was able to ship 24.8 units from January to March of 2020 globally. vivo also started the year with a 7 percent year-on-year growth even beating Samsung in India.

In Q2 2020, vivo was able to record a 21 percent market share. That market share growth can be attributed to the release of the vivo V19 and V19 Neo during the lockdown period. The brand was also able to post an 18 percent YoY growth from April to June 2020.

Among vivo devices, the vivo Y11 proved to be its biggest seller. The brand's 14.3 percent market share in IDC and 21 percent in Canalys in Q3 2020 can be attributed to the vivo Y11's popularity. This only came second to realme's 25.4 percent market share in IDC and 25 percent unit share in Canalys.

As a recap the vivo Y11 is priced at PHP 6,499. It has a 6.35-inch 2.5D curved screen with 1544 x 720 HD+ resolution, 1.95GHz 12nm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor, Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB/3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.
