DITO Telecommunity to launch in Metro Manila "in a few weeks"

Third telco player DITO Telecommunity is aiming to expand its mobile services to National Capital Region "in a few weeks", a company executive said.

DITO to expand in Metro Manila soon

This was bared by DITO chief administrative officer Adel Tamano during the group's virtual launch on Monday.

DITO, backed by Davao's Dennis Uy and China Telecommunications, initially rolled out its services to select areas in Visayas and Mindanao.

But Tamano said Filipinos residing in Metro Manila only have to wait a few more weeks before they could experience DITO.

The answer that we will tell you is we will be here in NCR in a few weeks. Medyo maghintay hintay lang, Dito will be in NCR very soon, Tamano said.

He refused to provide a specific timeline.

DITO services are now available in the following areas:

Metro Cebu

1. Carcar

2. Cebu City

3. Consolacion

4. Danao

5. Liloan,

6. Mandaue

7. Minglanilla

8. Naga

9. San Fernando

Metro Davao

1. Panabo

2. Tagum

3. Carmen

4. Davao City

5. Digos

For subscribers in the said areas, DITO said they will enjoy a minimum average internet speed of 27 megabits per second.

The third telco player also introduced a "welcome offer" priced at PHP 199, which includes unlimited data, and unlimited calls and texts within the DITO network for 30 days.
