Alleged ASUS Zenfone 8, 8 Flip renders and specs leak ahead of launch
Ahead of its release scheduled on May 12, the renders of the ASUS Zenfone 8 and 8 Flip surfaced online.

ASUS ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip renders and specs appeared on the Internet, revealing that both will come with the Snapdragon 888 chipset and 30W fast charging. An insider in the mobile industry revealed the leaks for both devices.
Based on the image renders, the ASUS ZenFone is the more compact one in the series. In front, this ASUS device allegedly features a 5.92-inch FHD+ display. It has a traditional look which sports a corner hole-punch camera. for selfies. As mentioned above, this one is said to be equipped with Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Meanwhile, there's a rectangular rear camera module located on the back panel. It has dual cameras, composed of a 64MP primary sensor and a 12MP macro lens, with support for an 8K video recording option. As for the battery, it is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with a 30W fast charging. There's a 3.5mm headphone jack available on the top portion as shown in the renders.
The phone measures 148 × 68.5 x 9mm and weighs just 170 grams. The ZenFone 8 is said to arrive in two color options and a colored power button.
Next is the Zenfone 8 Flip, and leaks revealed that ASUS is equipping it with a motorized camera mechanism similar to the ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 6Z before. Just like these models, the rear camera module on the ZenFone 8 Flip will flip 180 degrees to the top so that the same cameras can be used for selfies.
It is also assumed that this will come with an edge-to-edge display without a punch-hole or notch because of the flip mechanism. The phone will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Moreover, ASUS is going to equip it with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging.
The motorized camera module houses a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP macro lens. There are claims that it can also support 8K video recording. The device measures 165 x 77.3 x 9.5mm and weighs 230 grams.
Based on the leaked images, the ZenFone 8 Flip will have two color options and a blue-colored power button.
There's no confirmation yet if these ASUS phones will have the features and specs mentioned above. We'll have to wait for their official launch next week.
