200MP on a smartphone next year?

One of them is the most premium model that might be called the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G and it might be packed with a 200MP five-lens camera at the back powered by Japan's Olympus technology and Samsung's own S Pen. This report is said to be according to multiple industry sources last Sunday.

According to those sources, Olympus contacted Samsung to seek a partnership and Samsung reportedly agreed to terms.

If true, this is the first time that Samsung will have an Olympus branded camera phone. It could also be the largest resolution camera on a smartphone yet as well.

Likely, Samsung will use this collaboration to further compete with the camera collaborations of other brands such as ZEISS x vivo or Sony, Leica x Sharp or Huawei, and Hasselblad x OnePlus.

Other than that, there are no other details about the upcoming Galaxy S22 phones yet. January is still quite far.

Let's wait and see.
