People have been worrying about the technicalities of Huawei's US ban and if it affects the Windows 11 upgrade rollout on the MateBook laptops. Huawei puts that to rest with a Weibo post stating that the MateBook series will surely get the update. The announcement came ahead of the Windows 11 launch scheduled for early October.

So the Windows 11 upgrade will come to all of the Huawei MateBook including the X-Series, the MateBook Series, the D-Series, and even the B-Series. On the local side of things, we were able to sight more information with the MateBook X Pro 2021 listing. Here, it is stated that the Windows 11 rollout plan is being finalized and is scheduled to begin late in 2021 and will continue into 2022. Specific upgrade dates will vary by device.
