The Xiaomi 11T series has just arrived in the Philippines. In this article, we take a look at the new high-end model called the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro.

To recap, it features a large 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a max brightness of 1000 nits. Inside is the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Adreno 660, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a massive 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging via USB-C.

In the Philippines, the smartphone starts at PHP 27,990 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB model.

We have the device today, so let's take a look.

Inside the box, is the Xiaomi 11T Pro, documentation, silicone transparent case, SIM ejector tool, USB Type-A to Type-C cable, and 120W charger.

There are no included earphones. The screen protector is preinstalled on the phone by the factory.

Build Quality/Design

Rear design
Rear design

The Xiaomi 11T Pro is stunning. It has an eye-catching design and is built with a fine fit and finish. The front panel is made of Gorilla Glass Victus protected glass. The inner frame is made of polycarbonate while the back panel feels and sounds glasstic. Both the front and rear panels are fingerprint magnets.

Great build!

The rear camera module also has a glass panel on top of the camera lenses while on top of the LED flash and the 108MP camera branding is a glasstic panel.
SIM tray with red rubber gasket

The SIM tray can hold up to two nano-SIM cards. There is no microSD card slot. The SIM tray also has a red rubber gasket which is a major component in water sealing. This means that the Xiaomi 11T Pro may have underrated water and dust resistance.

For the design, the back of the phone curves which makes it easier to hold but the rear glasstic panel is slippery. We recommend wearing the included silicone transparent case as soon as you get it to prevent accidental slippage.
Punch hole display with slim bezels
Punch hole display with slim bezels

In front, it uses a large 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and an extra-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits peak brightness. It supports Dolby Vision, MEMC, P3 wide color, and is Gorilla Glass Victus protected.

GREAT DISPLAY!

The display has slim bezels all around. Though the chin bezel is slightly thicker than the rest. There is a punch hole on the upper part of the display.

Xiaomi claims that the display got an A+ rating from Displaymate while the stereo speakers are tuned by Harmon Kardon and support Dolby Atmos.

On top, is the speaker grill, microphone, IR sensor, and Harman Kardon branding. When we opened the box and saw the phone for the first time, we saw a scratch on the top part. This could be an isolated case or a quality control issue. While at the bottom is the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C port, and the second speaker grill.
Left and right sides

On the left is a smooth surface while on the right side is the volume rocker and the power button that doubles as the fingerprint scanner.

The device measures 164.1 x 76.9 x 8.8 mm and weighs 204 grams. The phone is easy to hold but is slippery. The large camera module also protrudes so as mentioned earlier, we recommend wearing the included silicone case.

On paper, this is the most affordable smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, Adreno 660, LPDRR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, Harman Kardon stereo speakers, and 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.

It even features a 108MP f/1.75 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide camera, 5MP f/2.4 telemacro (3-7cm) with an LED flash and microphone While on the punch hole in the front is a 16MP f/2.45 front-facing camera.

The display is great out of the box and it shows why it got an A+ rating from Display Mate.

We also noticed that there is no way to expand the internal storage. Our last concern is that the unit we received had a scratch on the top part out of the box. We hope that his is an isolated case and is not a quality control issue.
