Apple 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pros are now available for purchase at Apple PH website!

Apple's M1 Pro and M1 Max equipped 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are now available to order from the Apple Philippines website!

M1 Pro and M1 Max arrive!

Launched in October 2021, the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros feature a massive redesign that foregoes the sleeker design and the touch bar for a more 'Power book' like design.

Inside the new laptops are the 5nm-based Apple Silicon M1 Pro and M1 Ma chips that can be configured up to 10-core CPUs, up to 32-core GPUs, up to 64GB of unified memory (Unified memory is built with the chip. It can also be used for both RAM and VRAM for the GPU), and up to 8TB of internal SSD storage.

The smaller 14-inch model comes with a 14.2-inch mini-LED backlit Liquid Retina XDR Display with up to 1000 nits sustained brightness (or up to 1600nits peak brightness), 3024 x 1964 resolution, and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (or ProMotion). The body measures 312.6 x 221.2 x 15.5mm and weighs only 3.5 pounds (or 1.6 kg).

While the larger 16-inch model comes with a 16.2-inch mini-LED backlit Liquid Retina XDR display with up to 1000 nits sustained brightness (or up to 1600 nits peak brightness), 3456 x 2234 resolution, and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (or ProMotion). The body of the 16-inch model measures 1.68 x 35.57 x 24.81 cm and weighs 4.7 pounds (or 2.1kg).

It features three Thunderbolt 4 ports and it features the return of HDMI and SD card reader built-in. MagSafe also comes back but with a slimmer profile and will now feature fast charging with a compatible charger.

Apple says that the 14-inch model can last up to 11-hours of wireless web use while the 16-inch model can last up to 21-hours of wireless web use.

The 14-inch base model with an M1 Pro 8-Core CPU, 14-Core GPU, 16GB Unfied and 512GB SSD start at PHP 116,990 while the base model 16-inch with M1 Pro 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB Unified Memory, 512GB SSD starts at PHP 146,990.

Users can now pick between or configure their own MacBook Pro and proceed to purchase either models from the Apple Philippines website. At the time of this article's writing, both models are estimated to arrive on the second week of December 2021 for a Metro Manila Postal code.
