Garmin is bringing the new Instinct 2 series in PH, price starts at PHP 19,735!

After Garmin made the global announcement about a week ago, the Instinct 2 series finally arrives in the Philippines.

Rugged build, long battery life, and purpose-driven features

According to the wearable brand, the Instinct 2 is a one-of-a-kind collection with its unlimited battery life, bold colors, and robust lifestyle features. Garmin claims that this is specifically created for rugged individualists. Garmin Asia Assistant General Manager Scoppen Lin explained further,

Instinct 2 Series is built to be bold, stand out from the crowd, and help one make the most of every day. But there is more than meets the eye with the Instinct 2 Series. It combines adventurous colors with Garmin's industry-leading wrist-based technology to become more than just a smartwatch – Instinct 2 becomes a trusted tool to help Filipinos live life on their terms.

Apparently, the new watch series has a slimmer build and comes in two sizes: a traditional 45mm bezel and a new Instinct 2S with a smaller 40mm bezel. 

Just like the Instinct Solar Series, the Instinct 2 kept the military standard 810 for thermal and shock resistance and water resistance up to 100 meters.

In front, it has a display with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. The Instincts uses a monochrome transflective memory-in-pixel LCD for legibility and longer battery life. 

Garmin claims that Instinct 2 can last up to four weeks of continuous use while in smartwatch mode. Meanwhile, selected Instinct 2 Solar models allegedly can offer unlimited battery life in the same mode.

The watches also have positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) along with ABC sensors (Altimeter, Barometer, Compass), thermometer, optical heart rate sensor, and blood-oxygen saturation sensor.

The Instinct 2 sports an array of wellness features such as Sleep Score and Advanced Sleep Monitoring, Body Battery, stress and heart rate, and others. 

Moreover, the new series works with Garmin Connect IQ, an app for personalization with FREE downloads of apps, widgets, watch faces, and others. Garmin Connect IQ also has Menstrual Cycle and Pregnancy Tracking for users of Instinct 2.

The new Garmin wearables also boast sports apps and activities, including a new Multisport activity that allows users to transition between activities and continue to view their total time and distance. In case of an emergency, loved ones will be notified thanks to Instinct 2’s Incident Detection feature.

Instinct 2 Series is available in the Instinct 2 Solar, standard (non-solar), Surf, Tactical, and Camo editions. Surf Editions is designed for watersports activities such as surf, windsurfing, and kiteboarding, keeping users updated on ocean conditions.

Tactical in Coyote Tan

Tactical Editions, on the other hand, is meant for military use with its Kill Switch, Stealth Mode, Night Vision Goggle Compatibility, Dual Format Position Coordinates, and Jumpmaster Activity mode. It comes in two colors: Coyote Tan or Black

Lastly, Camo Editions allow users to blend in or stand out depending on their location with its Graphite and Mist Camo.
