Huawei recently released a new smartphone in China called Mate 40E Pro 5G.

Huawei Mate 40E Pro 5G launched!

The new smartphone shares a familiar design from its siblings with the waterfall display at the front and the 3 cameras and LED flash in a huge circular housing.

For its display, this one has a MASSIVE 7.76-inch OLED panel with 2772 x 1334 resolution, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. There's also a pill-shaped cutout housing the dual 13MP  super-sensing wide-angle camera and a 3D depth shooter.

Inside, the Mate 40E Pro 5G is powered by 3.13GHz 5nm HiSilicon Kirin 9000L SoC and 22-core Mali-G78 GPU. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

The phone's battery has a 4,400mAh capacity and supports 66W super-fast charging.

As for the quad cameras, the main sensor is 50MP f/1.9 with super-sensing wide-angle, followed by a 20MP f/1.8 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12MP f/3.4 telephoto camera.

For connectivity, it has WiFi, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, NFC, and GPS.

For the software, it runs HarmonyOS 2.0 along with smart features such as PC synchronization via Super Device for a seamless ecosystem.

It is now available via Huawei Mall in China. However, there's no word yet if it will arrive on the Philippine shores. Stay tuned for more updates.
