Global launch soon!

No local launch date yet

In the teaser post, realme Philippines did not mention a particular date. However, realme Indonesia's social media posts reveal March 22 as the global launch date.

We have the details for the realme GT 2 Pro and narzo 50 as both were launched separately in Barcelona and India earlier this year.

To recap, realme GT 2 Pro is among the GT 2 series launched in MWC 2022. The series features a design and build that aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint. The handsets use bio-based polymer material for the back panel. This material creates 2 kg fewer carbon emissions for every kilogram made. The box the devices come with is also recyclable.

The GT 2 Pro sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 3216 x 1440 QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1400 nits peak brightness, 509 ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Victus protection. It also has stereo speakers.

Under the hood, we have the 4nm 3.0GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor, Adreno 730 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, and USB-C.

At the back, there is a rectangular camera bump housing the three cameras consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main with OIS, PDAF + 50MP f/2.2 150-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor + 3MP f/3.0 microscope sensor with 40X magnification and LED flash. The secondary sensors' sizes have not yet been specified for the GT2. It also has a 32MP f/2.4 selfie sensor.

Meanwhile, the realme narzo 50 was launched in India last month.

It uses a large 6.6-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate (adaptive from 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz), FHD+ resolution, and a punch-hole to house the 16MP f/2.1 sensor (upgraded from the f/2.45 of 8i).

Inside, it is powered by the 2.05GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core processor, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM (5GB Virtual RAM), up to 128GB expandable storage, and 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 33W fast charging (up from 18W of 8i).

A 50MP main shooter paired with a 2MP macro cam and a 2MP mono camera makes up the triple rear camera setup.

We don't have many details for the realme narzo 50A Prime though. But as seen on a dedicated Indonesia event microsite, the handset will be offered in two colors: Black and Blue.

It was also shown to have a flat display with thin bezels on three sides and a slightly thick chin. We also see a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera.

At the back, we see a triple rear camera setup and a flash in a rectangular module. The images also show that a side-fingerprint sensor will be on top of the power button found on the right side of the device.

The volume buttons are not visible in the images. The left side shows to house the SIM tray. The bottom of the smartphone will get a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille.

The microsite was generous enough to share some key specifications of the realme narzo 50A Prime. It will get a 6.6-inch FHD+ display, 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support, a powerful UNISOC T612 processor, and an 8.1mm ultra-thin design.
