Smart is on top!

According to the employment-oriented online network, these companies have attracted new talents and retained the old ones by increasing flexibility. Senior Managing Editor Satoshi Ebitani at LinkedIn News added,

As we continue to navigate the challenging realities of today’s world, employee engagement and support are now more important than ever. Our Top Companies list celebrates companies invested in the growth and well-being of the most important resource in the workplace–people. With dedicated programs and initiatives to support career progression and the growing need for work-life balance, these companies are leading the charge for long-term success in the workforce.

To come up with the ranking, LinkedIn considered these seven factors since they uncover a critical element of career progression. This includes the ability to advance, skills growth, company stability, external opportunity, company affinity, gender diversity, and the spread of educational backgrounds.

Here are this year’s 15 #LinkedInTopCompanies in the Philippines:

1. Smart Communications
2. Accenture
3. Shell
4. Metrobank
5. Emerson
6. BDO Unibank
7. Manila Water
8. Nestle
9. WPP
10. Philippine General Hospital
11. Insular Life Assurance Company Ltd.
12. Robinsons Bank Corporation
13. San Miguel Corporation
14. DXC Technology

LinkedIn also shared some key trends among these companies that entered the list. One is giving priority to the mental health of the employees since many have provided services that address it.

For example, Smart Communications launched the "Mind Your Health" program to support employees' mental health during the pandemic. Through the program, employees can learn about various mental health issues.

In Metrobank, they developed employee wellness programs, from work-from-home policies to employee training. The company offers programs to support its employees’ emotional and mental well-being.

Some companies also promoted stability by offering upskilling opportunities despite the pandemic. Accenture, for example, strengthened its Near-Hire Training program to help non-college job applicants who have the potential to meet the entry-level requirements.
