Pixel 7 series to sport a revamped design and 2nd gen Tensor chipset

In the developer's event, Google confirmed that the flagship phones are arriving this Fall 2022. Surprisingly, it let the audience take a sneak peek at their designs way ahead of the launch.

The most prominent change in the overall design is the camera bar. Both the Pixel phones ditched the glass build of their predecessors, the Pixel 6 series. The renders also suggest that Google will get rid of the two-tone color treatment on the back panel.

Instead, they went for a full aluminum design with cutouts for the camera sensors. Based on the materials, the Pixel 7 only has two rear cameras and the 7 Pro has three.

Through a tweet, Google announced that the Pixel 7 will ship in Obsidian, Snow, and Lemongrass colors. As for the Pro variant, it will have the same set of colors but will have a green Hazel instead of Lemongrass.

On the inside, both devices will pack a second-gen Tensor chip. According to Google, this chip is designed to improve a range of features including speech recognition, photos, videos, and security.

And to top it all off,  Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will ship with Android 13 out of the box. The new OS is expected to be released sometime later this fall.

At I/O, Google also disclosed that it will be launching the Pixel Watch, Pixel 6a, Pixel Buds Pro, and a forthcoming Pixel Tablet.

The Pixel watch is the smartwatch built by Google, inside and out. The renders show that it features a stunning circular, domed design. The search giant notes that it works smoothly with Wear OS.

The source added that users can access their favorite apps from Google, like Maps, Assistant, and Wallet through this watch.

Allegedly, this wearable comes with fast pair, for quick and easy connectivity with earbuds, watch, and phone. Meanwhile, the Pixel Buds Pro reportedly also makes it simple by automatically switching audio between watches, phones, and laptops.

Google confirmed that the flagship phones are arriving this Fall 2022. There are assumptions that the company will unveil these new products in October.

However, the search giant did not give any details on the exact date of the launch, pricing, and other specs.

Hence, there are so many things unclear that are still vague so we have to wait for an official announcement yet.

What do you guys think?
