Remember the Aquos R6 last year? Japanese tech giant Sharp today released its successor called Aquos R7.
Sharp Aquos R7

It comes with a MASSIVE 1-inch main sensor and a flagship processor!

The new Sharp Aquos R7 is a flagship worthy device featuring a slightly improved back design with a neater back design without the rectangular hump to house its circular camera layout. This has IP68 water and dust resistance as well.

The company also opted to use a flatter display instead of a 3D curved panel this time. In particular, the device is boasting a 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED screen with 240Hz adaptive refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, 2,000 nits peak brightness, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and a punch-hole housing the 12.6MP selfie cam.

Inside, it is powered by the flagship 5G-ready 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with a new-gen Adreno GPU, 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C fast charging (unspecified).

The main highlight of the device is its use of the massive 47MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor size with f/1.9 aperture size, 19mm focal length, and seven-element Leica Summicron lens.

According to Sharp, this main shooter can collect up to 1.8 times more light than the R6 last year. The device is paired with a 1.9MP portrait sensor.

This also has an Octa PD AF and 8K video support.

The device doesn't have an ultra-wide shooter, but its main camera has a 19mm focal length which is already considered quite wide.

This device runs with the Android 12 operating system.

There is no word regarding its price and availability yet.
