SLP is now completely out of the classic Axie Infinity mode. Smooth Love Potion or SLP is the token that P2E players grind to earn money. It is now only available to be farmed via the new game mode Axie Infinity Origin. Furthermore, minting SLP will be offline for an additional 30 days as the developers monitor the new mode for bugs and exploits.

The move also aims to help balance the SLP economy. SLP will also have additional in-game utilization that makes it a currency to craft runes and charms to boost your teams in the new game mode. The decision to entirely remove SLP rewards from the classic game mode came after removing it from the adventure mini-game and daily quest reward.

Despite this effort to balance the SLP eco, the token is still down 98.7 percent after reaching an all-time high of USD 0.39 value back in 2021. Axie Infinity is in the process of recovering according to developers showing a 205 percent surge in NFT transaction volume back in July this year.
