HUAWEI Mate 50 Series is coming on September 6!

HUAWEI Mate 50 launch date is revealed after the Chinese phone maker posted a teaser on its Weibo page.

HUAWEI  Mate 50 series coming soon!

It's been a while since we've last seen the Mate series from HUAWEI . The tech giant took nearly 2 years just to make the next generation of the Mate lineup which will comprise Mate 50, 50 Pro, and 50 RS.

To recall, Mate 40 series came around October 2020. While a year later the Pro 5G variant of the Mate 40 came into the country.

Judging from the photo posted on Weibo, we can see some familiar designs on the back of the phone with its huge circular camera island with gold patterns that houses 4 sensors and an LED flash. The rear cover also seems to have a matte finish.

CEO of HUAWEI Consumer BG and Head of smart vehicles, Richard Yu, also teased its viewers that we will be seeing entirely new technologies at the said event.

The CEO also commented that the company faced challenges in developing the next gen of their flagship tier phones as they find it hard to decide which processor they will be using.

Moreover, since HUAWEI ended its long relationship with Leica, we may also see its new imaging tech called the XMAGE on the upcoming flagship smartphones.

Harmony OS 3.0 is also expected to be seen in the upcoming series as there are also teasers revealed back in April.

There's also a picture circulated on Weibo about the phone's specs when you click #Mate50.

The photo shows that the phones may arrive with a 2K+ 120Hz display, SD8+ Gen1, a new NPU, 4,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging, 50MP IMX766 + 50MP + 64MP + 50MP quad-camera system with XMAGE,  and many more that are written in Chinese characters.

However, this information is still unofficial so take it with a grain of salt.

For now just stay tuned with us as we all wait for the release this coming September 6, 2022.
