A few days back, HONOR released its first mid-ranger of the year Malaysia, the X9a 5G.
The HONOR X9a 5G is a promising handset boasting a premium HUAWEI Mate-like back design and a "very durable" display.
In particular, the company used a 45-degree curved 6.67-inch OLED panel with 0.65mm glass called Super Reinforced Glass. This new material has an anti-drop capability of over 900Mpa and has passed Marble Drop, Random Roll, Squeeze, and Steel Ball Impacts tests.
The said display also has a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, FHD+ resolution, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and a top-center punch-hole housing the 16MP f/2.45 selfie camera.
Since it is a curved display, the company also added an AI Anti Mistouch tech.
Inside, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G processor with 8GB RAM, 5GB HONOR RAM Turbo, 256GB internal storage, and a large 5,100mAh battery capacity with USB-C 40W HONOR SuperCharge.
The company said that this has a Gold Battery rating allowing its users to enjoy up to two days of usage and up to 12.5 hours of watching videos.
The handset also has a 64MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter with a depth effect, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. It also has dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE (apart from 5G), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM slots.
It runs with Android 12 OS with Magic UI 6.1 skin top.
MYR 1,499 (around PHP 18.8K)
The device is now available in Malaysia.
In PH, we suspect that it is the device that the company is currently teasing.
Stay tuned for more info.
