New OPPO A78 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 700, 50MP main camera now official
The new OPPO A78 5G has been officially launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 and a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor.

In terms of design, the OPPO A78 5G sticks to the norm that we saw last year. It features flat sides, curved corners, and 2 circular camera island housing the dual camera setup. The camera cutouts are placed on a strip that is more glossy than the rest of the back.
In front, it has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with 1600 x 720 HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Inside, it has the 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The OPPO A78 5G also has a dual camera setup at the back with a 50MP main sensor + 2MP depth sensor with LED flash. It also has an 8MP selfie camera. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi, 5G SA/NSA, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android 13 with ColorOS 13 on top.
The OPPO A78 5G 2023 variant's price and availability are yet to be confirmed. We will update you as soon as we get more information including local pricing and availability if it comes to the Philippines.
