POCO F5 Series will go official on May 9!

POCO announced on its official Facebook that they will launch the F5 Series on May 9 which comprises of two models.

Starting with the POCO F5, we earlier reported about its RAM and the confirmed chipset, which will be the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 and 12GB RAM.

Meanwhile, some leaks suggest that the base version could be the Global counterpart of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo which is only sold in China.

If that's going to be true, we can expect that it may feature similar hardware such as the 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, 64MP primary shooter, 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and Android 13 with MIUI 14 skin on top.

On the other hand, there will also be a Pro variant of the POCO F5. Geekbench listing revealed it will feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Soc and 12GB RAM on this smartphone.

The Geekbench listing also showed that it will use 256GB storage and will boot Android 13 and possibly MIUI 14 out of the box.

MySmartPrice hinted that it could be the rebranded version of the Redmi K60 series. While leaks suggest that the Pro variant may likely feature a 5,500mAh battery w/ 67W adaptor, 64MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro helper.

Keep in mind that most of these are leaks only and you can take them with a grain of salt.

What is definitely sure is the launch date which again will be on May 9, 2023. That's a few weeks away and POCO confirmed that it will be an online launch event. There's also a high possibility that PH could be included as well in the Global launch.
