vivo highlights the Night Photography of vivo V27 Series

The vivo V27 series officially arrived in PH recently and now the brand is highlighting the low-light shooting capabilities of their smartphones.

The two smartphones were given the moniker "The Studio in your pocket" due to what they call the "Aura Portrait Algorithm". To recap, this is their innovative take on the phone's flash as it now uses a circular LED capable of providing wider light around your subject.

According to the phone maker, Aura Light was specially made to properly illuminate the subject and create even lighting. This is particularly useful for your portraits in low-light areas. They added that when this feature is turned on, "the camera automatically detects the ambient light and adjusts the Aura Light's strength based on the surrounding to produce night shots with clearer facial details while also preventing underexposure or overexposure".

Supporting their claims, vivo incorporated a large 50MP Sony IMX766V with OIS and EIS on the V27 5G variant's primary sensor. The brand says it is 59 percent bigger in effective sensor size and 104 percent bigger in single-pixel size.

In addition, the company mentioned that by enlarging the sensors, the camera is capable of receiving 145 percent more light, effectively enhancing the image quality and vibrance resulting in brighter and more colorful photos even in dark areas.

Meanwhile, the main sensor is accompanied by an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle 119-degree shooter and 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro helper.

On the other hand, the V27e which is the 4G variant also features the same Aura Light flash and it uses a 64MP PDAF OIS main camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/2.4 depth shooter.

The Portrait mode

The brand is also talking about the Advanced Portrait mode that helps understand, beautify, and enhance portraits. They claimed that the two smartphones can "decode information about your subject and coordinates with up to 103 facial points" which then the AI algorithm retouches the subject's face without producing unrealistic over-enhancements.

The portrait mode also creates a balance between your subject and the background using the new Low-Light Portrait feature. When the Low-Light Portrait feature is turned on, the Aura Light automatically turns on as well. The Aura Light will light up the subject’s face while the Low-Light Portrait enhances the background by adding tones, thereby creating a warm and vivid vibe. The resulting image then is not only high quality with stunning details but also depicts the same exciting and vibrant moment during which it was taken, says vivo
