Transsion takes the No. 1 spot in the PH smartphone market!

Renowned tech research firm Canalys released the statistics for the 1st quarter of 2023. In that report, Transsion group appeared as the top spot in the Canalys PH smartphone vendor market. The photo was a screenshot of Unbox PH from an IG story of a key person in Infinix.

To recap, Transsion Group is the parent brand of Infinix and TECNO that dethroned realme and was the leading smartphone vendor in PH for 2 consecutive years.

Prior to this achievement, Transsion only finished third in the final quarter of the previous year and fourth in the third quarter of 2022, there was still a sizable difference between this brand and the rest of the competitors.

That is why it is surprising to see Transsion make a huge leap in just a span of a quarter. They only not jumped from two spots but also dethrones the previous reigning market leader who appeared to be in momentum.

While Transsion holds new entries like itel, and TECNO under its belt, some people may be curious about the breakdown. Infinix could primarily be responsible for the market growth that bolstered Transsion to the number 1 spot in Canalys PH rankings.

After all, Infinix recently enjoyed success from the hot selling Zero 5G 2023 version this year.

Also, the brand has been teasing the upcoming Note 30 series with some eye-catching innovations that may attract buyers even more.

Still, though, it is unknown why brands under the BBK group such as OPPO, realme, vivo, and OnePlus aren't grouped together. But given this, how long do you think can Transsion keep up with their momentum?

What do you guys think?
