HONOR earlier announced the X50 series which includes the base X50 variant with feature pack internals.
The most notable here is the choice of chip HONOR used, this device boasts the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core chipset with an unspecified Adreno GPU.
To recall, this chip is the successor to the SD695 with Adreno 619 GPU which Qualcomm says provides 40 percent improvement in CPU and 35 percent in GPU.
Now that chip is paired with hearty 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. But it is also available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB trims.
Another highlight we noticed is the 108MP main camera with f/1.75 aperture paired with a 2MP depth shooter.
In terms of design, the HONOR X50 kind of resembles the X9a. It has a rounded camera island at the back with a sleek and modern-looking rear cover.
At the front, it comes with a curved AMOLED screen with 2652 x 1200 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. You'll also notice that it uses a centered punch-hole design that houses the 8MP front camera.
For battery, it is powered by a huge 5,800mAh size and can be charged using USB-C and 33W fast charger.
Another feature noted is the IP53 for splash and dust protection.
For connectivity, it has 5G, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
For software, the phone runs Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1.1.
HONOR 8GB/128GB - CNY 1,399 (around PHP 10.7K)
HONOR 12GB/256GB - CNY 1,799 (around PHP 13.7K)
HONOR 16GB/512GB - CNY 1,999 (around PHP 15.3K)
The device is now available to order on the HONOR China website. While the sale begins on July 14. No word yet for a PH release though. Hopefully, they will bring this here soon and we will provide updates on that.
