A much-needed update!

The new camera features a 26MP BSI CMOS APS-C sensor with 5-stops In-body Image Stabilization and a Bionz XR Processor with a dedicated AI processing Engine. This allows the camera to shoot up to 11 fps with the mechanical and electronic shutter. It has over 759 AF points with 93 percent coverage and supports AF tracking with subject recognition.

It has an ISO range of 100-32,000 (expandable to 50-102,400) and a shutter speed range of 30 seconds up to 1/8000 sec. The photos and video footage are saved to a single UHS-II SD card slot. File formats supported include JPEG, compressed and uncompressed RAW, HEIF, HLG, 10-bit video with 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 color, S-Cinetone, and S-Log3.

The body is similar to the previous generations but now features a larger body and a larger grip. On the grip is a new front command dial similar to the bigger Sony Alpha 7 series.

At the back is the 2.36 Million-dot electronic viewfinder with 1.07 magnification. Below it is the 3-inch fully articulated 1.036 Million-dot TFT touch screen.
