Nothing OS 2.0 stable version starts rolling out for Phone (1) users!

As promised by Nothing, the second generation of its OS starts rolling out today for Phone (1) users.

Nothing OS 2 for Phone (1) starts rolling out!

Earlier we reported that the much-anticipated update will begin sometime in August 2023. Now, days before the month ends, the famed startup has fulfilled its promise to its consumers. The CEO Carl Pei himself has made the announcement through his Twitter account.

We've now begun rolling out Nothing OS 2 for Phone (1). Thanks for everyone's patience! As our capabilities strengthen, we'll be able to pull in the time gap over time.

The Nothing OS 2.0 is based on the Android 14 and that Nothing users for both Phone (1) and (2) will be the first ones to experience it much earlier than everyone else.

Anyways, this update will bring huge changes in the UI design with a Monochrome color scheme, improved app icons, widgets that will match your wallpapers and a new approach to reducing distractions and making the interaction with your device more intentional.

The update also includes Glyph Interface 2.0 which means it will bring improved notifications, through the Glyph, plus it has the Glyph torch shortcut to instantly fire up the back LED lights.

Nothing also introduced new app features like clone apps, and app locker for privacy while the update will also bring enhanced auto brightness logic and many more improvements to optimize the user's experience.
