CES 2024: LG introduces Signature OLED T as the world's 1st transparent TV!

The said prestigious event is one of the primary platforms a company can showcase their latest innovations. As for LG it is the Signature OLED T model featuring 4K resolution and never before seen transparent screen.

This can seamlessly harmonize within its environment and is almost invisible when turned off. Unlike traditional TV's with big black screens, the Signature OLED T model has see-through features making the users/viewers space feel or look much bigger.

The new invention allows creativity for users as well. As you dont really have to follow the mainstream application of TV near the wall and instead you may place it in the middle of the room and use the OLED T like a divider. Another idea would be propping it against the window without blocking the outside.

As for the size, it has 77-inch diagonally wide and comes with 4K resolution for that crisp and detailed viewing experience.

Inside, it is powered by the Alpha 11 AI processor which also contributes to a colorful and class leading display of the LG Signature OLED T. The said chip offers 4x greater AI performance and provides 70 percent improvement in graphic performance and 30 percent faster processing speed versus its predecessor. With a single button press, OLED T provides the best of both transparent and vibrant-color screen experiences.

The bundled Zero Connect Box, which uses LG's cutting-edge wireless transmission technology to transfer 4K images and sound to the OLED T, also allows customers to set their TV wherever they choose in the room, independent of where the electrical outlets are. Users can enjoy a clean, cable-free viewing experience because there are no cables between the Zero Connect Box and the OLED T.

Furthermore, the LG OLED T's modular design offers a variety of installation techniques. The OLED T is available in stand-alone, against-the-wall, and wall-mount configurations. Customers can further personalize their screens by adding standing or floating shelves on either or both sides of the screen to best fit their individual interests and preferences.

LG's transparent OLED enables owners to discover and utilize new forms of entertainment and use through its dual viewing experiences which they call transparent and opaque. With the Always-On-Display (AOD) feature, the OLED T transforms into a transparent digital canvas for displaying artwork, films, or images.

The content on the clear screen appears to float in air while fusing with the surrounding area to produce a fascinating and ambient visual impression. Another option is the T-Bar function, which provides a useful info-ticker running along the bottom of the screen. The T-Bar shows news alerts, weather updates, or song titles while the remainder of the screen shows a clear, unobstructed image of the space behind it.
