Beats launches the Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds for active users.

The athlete's audio buddy?

The latest audio product brings better fit, improved music quality, and even heart rate monitoring so users can track their performance when doing exercises. 

According to the company, it has been tested by around 1,000 athletes and features a fortified nickel-titanium alloy ear hook to provide an ergonomic fit to its users.

For intense workout users

Meanwhile, it is available in four color options such as Jet Black, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Electric Orange. 

Beats added a new venting mechanism that improves airflow, and the inclusion of a fifth ear tip size (range from extra-small to extra-large) assures a custom fit. Beats calls it the "best-fitting headphone ever," and it weighs 20 percent less than the previous model.

It also has Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode to block out noise or be aware of surroundings depending on the environment.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 can provide Personalized Spatial Audio and dynamic head-tracking for that unique listening experience.

Furthermore, the new device offers Adaptive EQ allowing the PowerBeats Pro 2 to adjust sound in real time thanks to its in-ward facing microphone and computational audio ensuring a steady high-quality audio output.

As mentioned above, this has a built-in heart rate monitor using LED optical sensors to track blood flow over 100x per second to ensure accurate data is produced for your workout. Additionally, Beats says it can sync to compatible fitness apps such as Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes, and YaoYao.

Battery and charging

In terms of usage, it can last 10 hours per charge and up to 45 hours with the case. It also has 5 minute quick charge feature to bring 1 hour and 30 minutes juice. Moreover, you can also charge it wirelessly as well.

Inside this also uses Class 1 Bluetooth and Apple H2 chip which is similarly found at the Apple AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods 4.

Finally, it has an IPX4 rating as protection against sweat or splashes.
