Meizu on Facebook revealed that they are coming back to the Philippine market today February 12, 2025, by launching the two new smartphones.
The launch will be held at the Geely Motors Philippines (Geely is the new owner of Meizu) launch event at 5:00 - 8:00 PM in Muntinlupa City.
The phones that they will launch are the entry-level Meizu mblu 21 and Meizu Note 21.
To recap, the Meizu mblu 21 is a "stylish" smartphone boasting the Prism Edge Design available in Titan Black, Ocean Blue, and Diamond White gradient colors.
The handset packs a 6.79-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution with a top-center punch-hole for the 8MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, it uses a 12nm chip with 1.6Hz clock speed and Mali-G57 graphics.
It also has a 4,900mAh battery capacity, USB-C charging, 13MP main shooter with 5P elements lens, LED flash, side-mounted fingerprint reader, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and Android 14 operating system.
On the other hand, the Meizu Note 21 is an iPhone-looking smartphone with a marble-like texture available in Diamond Black, Gulf Blue, and Ivory colors.
For specs, it uses a 6.74-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution with 450 nits of peak brightness. It has a small U-shaped notch for the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
The processor it is using is the 1.6GHz UNISOC T606 chip. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a large 6,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 18W charging.
For cameras, it has a 50MP f/1.8 S5KJN1 sensor paired with a 2MP f/2.4 auxiliary lens.
It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth 5.0 tech. GPS, and dual SIM slots.
It runs with Android 14 OS out of the box.
The handset measures 167.8 x 77.9 x 9.1 mm.
