We've been using the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ as our daily driver for 2 weeks. Let's see if this really lives up to its moniker as the ultra-slim budget phone of 2025.
 |
The Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ |
To recall, the phone is the current most affordable with a paper-thin body measuring just 5.95mm. It also features a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution, a 6nm MTK Helio G200 chip paired with 8GB RAM + 8GB Extended RAM and 256GB storage.
Multimedia Experience
 |
The display |
As mentioned above, the device uses a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 144Hz rate, 1.5K 2720 x 1224 resolution, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 2340Hz PWM dimming, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and 93.40 percent screen-to-body ratio.
It also received SGS Low Blue Light certification and has an Always-on display feature.
In this area, the HOT 60 Pro+ has already received a lot of upgrades, starting with the crispier and way brighter screen, accurate color display, while retaining the same refresh rate from its predecessor. Additionally, the brand included Gorilla Glass 7i protection against accidental drops and scratches.
The highest quality display for the price
We had an enjoyable experience with its fluid, smooth panel, wide viewing angles, rich colors, and 1.5K resolution display. It simply gave us a way better experience when doom-scrolling on social media or watching our favorite streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, or YouTube.
In terms of audio, it uses stereo speakers tuned by JBL. It does give good sound quality, starting at 80 percent to 100 percent volume. The signature leans on the brighter side with decent mids and highs, though its bass has a minimal thump only.
While the music it plays is loud enough, it is not the loudest, even at max volume.
Meanwhile, its microphones can pick up our voice just fine on our calls or by simply using audio recording.
Cameras
 |
The rear cameras |
Another upgrade the HOT 60 Pro+ received is in the camera department. It now uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, which is a huge leap from the predecessor's Sony IMX582.
We see this type of sensor on phones, PHP 12K, and some at the 20K range. The other accompanying camera is a depth helper, although the module could just be a dummy unit since there's no ultra-wide option or even a macro mode in the settings.

2x low light |
Our test yielded great results for its price, especially in well-lit scenarios. The improved main camera delivered sharper images, a good amount of details, colors, and acceptable dynamic range.
One of the best main cameras for the price
We liked our indoor environment testing as it simply captured the great view and has the capability of getting the actual color of the scene.
Though it does produce decent photos, the phone's image processing could be somewhat lacking as it takes time to load the images, around 3-4 seconds, and sometimes doesn't capture the exact color of the scene.
Take a look at our food photo. The actual color of the scene is brighter in the Chicken; however, the background in the Udon, even the soup, seemed a little bit pale. It took us a couple of tries before getting our desired result.
You can also check our portrait shots below. As you can see, while the details are on the decent side, it produces artificial background blur and just acceptable edge detection.
For low light, we've also witnessed significant improvement over the HOT 50 Pro+, especially in the details and brightness. There are still visible noises, but fewer compared to the predecessor.
Using 2x zoom will make the scene darker while maintaining decent dynamic range under dark scenarios. We see no use for using the night mode as the phone's AI scene detection can provide similar results, so be sure to have it turned on all the time.

Night shot with bokeh |
The HOT 60 Pro+ is able to produce good results in well-lit areas with decent sharpness, colors, and contrast, making it suitable for your Instagram stories.
Using the portrait mode again will provide bokeh in the background, though, while looking unnatural, it was able to emphasize the subject's face and its details well.
In dark places, it captures just ample details to see your face. The colors and sharpness have diminished, there's noticeable noise, and some scenes have a little bit blurry around the hair.
Performance
Inside, the HOT 60 Pro+ is equipped with a 2.2GHz MTK Helio G200 octa-core chip with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, paired with 12GB RAM + 12GB virtual RAM, 256GB storage, and a 5,160mAh battery with USB-C 45W fast charging.
Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ benchmark results:
 |
The benchmarks |
- AnTuTu - 389,302 points
- GeekBench 6 - 722 points (single-core), 2,002 points (multi-core)
- 3DMark Wild Life Extreme - 1,363 overall score, 9.17 average frame rate
- CPDT - 360.36 MB/s sequential write speed, 501.35 MB/s sequential read speeds
These numbers are expected from entry-level hardware. These are good enough to provide decent performance for your daily tasks on a smartphone and are better than those phones in a similar price range to the Snapdragon 680 or Helio G88.
No 5G, but performance is stable for an entry-level phone
The RAM is large enough to cover 3-4 apps in the background smoothly, though it will provide a bit of slowdown in terms of switching when opening more.
In terms of gaming, it can run Mobile Legends: BangBang in Ultra graphics and 60Hz frame rate, a nice nod that entry-level phones like this allow users to experience those settings.
There are a bit of frame drops during big team fights in the river, which is understandable since the game runs on a 1.5K screen resolution.
Since the G200 chip is quite new, support for ultra-frame rate is not yet available as well.
Of course, if you want a much stable gameplay, toning down a bit of graphics will do the trick.
For Asphalt Legends, it is capable of providing decent frame rates on high settings in a fast-paced racing arcade game in environments like city maps. Though situations with frequent watery or icy places will have some frame dips, so again, manage your priority in settings: visuals or fluidity?
15 hours and 35 minutes of benchmark battery
In terms of battery, the 5,160mAh will get you through a workday under moderate to heavy usage.
Our PC Mark test gave us around 15 hours and 35 minutes of juice, while in actual usage, we got 12 hours of screen time. Meanwhile, it has outstanding standby time lasting around 3 days before turning low on battery.
In terms of connectivity, the HOT 60 Pro+ connects seamlessly to our router. It has dual-band frequencies of 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The latter allows you to have better speeds and latency, making it ideal for games and streaming.
For OS, the device runs on Android 15 with XOS 15.1 skin on top.
 |
The XOS user interface |
It has One-Tap AI features powered by Google Gemini, enabling users to improve productivity while on the go with just a quick tap on the special action button/power key.
It has Circle to Search for instant Google search on the web, Folax Voice assistant, Smart Touch, Call Assistant, and AI translator.
There are also Document Assistant, Writing Assistant, which automatically write notes for you, record summaries, and subtitle generation when watching videos.
 |
The AI features |
The Wallpaper Generator lets you create a unique background for your phone, while the AI gallery provides an eraser, increases image sharpness, or extends the photo.
Pros - Super slim design, durable build, upgraded display, decent processor and storage, improved main camera
Cons - Filler cameras, speaker volume is not that loud, and a bit slow image processing
