Fintech company Aqwire is the first payments company in the country to process Google Pay and Apple Pay transactions.

Earlier, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) confirmed that Apple Pay and Google Pay do not have to register to be able to launch their services in the country.

This development means that customers can now pay via Google Pay and Apple Pay through the Aqwire Portal. Through secure tokenization technology, which replaces sensitive card details with encrypted digital identifiers, customers can enjoy faster checkouts, fewer errors, and enhanced security.
