HONOR WIN RT launched: Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, Active Cooling Fan, and 10,000mAh battery

The new HONOR WIN RT with an active cooling system and an IP68 + IP69 + IP69K has officially been unveiled in China.

A True Winner?

Previously, we reported on the teasers of the new HONOR WIN series, where key specifications were confirmed.

Now, HONOR officially unveils the HONOR WIN and WIN RT. The WIN RT measures 163.1 x 76.6 x 8.3mm and weighs 225 grams. It comes in either White, Blue, or Black.

Like its brother, the WIN RT features a 6.83-inch OLED screen with 2800 x 1272 resolution, a 6,000 nits peak brightness, a 185Hz refresh rate, and a 5,920Hz High Frequency PWM Dimming.

Its highlight feature is the new industry-first DongFeng Turbo Cooling System, consisting of a Turbo 25,000 RPM Fan, Dual 360-degree Air Intake Ducts, SoC Direct Drive Cooling, and a 3D Butterfly Vapor Chamber. It is advertised to boost cooling capacity by 30 percent.

What makes this more impressive is that even with the fan and air ducts, the phone is IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance rated.

Inside is the 3nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition octa-core processor, 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage, Dual-SIM support, and a 10,000mAh battery with 100W wired SuperCharge via USB-C.

At the back of the phone is the 50MP f/1.95 main camera with a 1.56-inch sensor and OIS, and a 12MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra wide camera with an LED flash. While in front is the 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Other features include a 3D fingerprint scanner, infrared sensor, Stereo speakers, HONOR AI surround Sub-woofer, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and NFC.

Running the show is Android 16-based MagicUI 10.0.
