When we arrived at the ranch, the weather suddenly turned cloudy, which gave dull lighting conditions. Though the colors aren't as vibrant, the sharpness and resolution are on point. Although the ultra-wide is noticeably not as detailed as the rest of the cameras.

We visited the peak of Mt. Anahawon in Valencia, Bukidnon, and spent our early morning capturing the sunrise. In between shots, we got ourselves a cup of coffee with beans grown in Bukidnon.
Because the sun has risen at this point, the colors of the photos are much more vibrant. The contrast, sharpness, and detail remain a standout. However, like the previous photo, the ultra-wide is less detailed when compared with the other images.

In this particular scenario, the sharpness, resolution, contrast, and colors are consistent across all photos on the 2x to 7x zoom range.

If we look closer, the 7x digital zoom still retains the detail, sharpness, and color without degradation of image quality.

At 10 AM, the sun was up and allowed for brighter images. The colors and sharpness really shone, especially on the main camera.

Before the sun fully rose from the horizon, we asked one of the paragliding staff to pose for us. Even though these shots were taken in sequence, the exposure was inconsistent between the ultra-wide, 1x, and 3.5x. The ultra-wide was noticeably darker and was slightly softer than the other two.
We noticed a couple enjoying the view, so we saw it as an opportunity to take advantage of the several cameras to showcase how versatile it is and how each focal length adds to the storytelling of your content. The wide main camera is able to add more of the environment to add context, while the 3.5x telephoto allows you to get closer and to give that intimate feel.

In lower light conditions, the Reno15 5G handles it well with images from the main camera and the telephoto being surprisingly sharp, yet with minimal noise. Although the ultra-wide-angle camera is slightly softer.

 |
| Rear camera portrait mode with 3.5x landscape |
The Portrait mode with the rear cameras is stellar. The Edge detection is near flawless, and the bokeh is near natural-looking. It just lacks the natural and soft fall off from the in-focus to the out-of-focus areas. |
| OPPO Reno15 5G's Selfie camera daylight |
When shooting selfies in landscape orientation, you can feel how wide the selfie camera's field of view is. It may not be the widest we've seen, but it certainly strikes a balance between a wide field of view and image quality. The Selfie is sharp and detailed with near-accurate color reproduction and with deep contrast.

Continuing from the previous image, the daylight selfie retains the sharp, detailed, and vibrant color but with near-perfect edge detection. The bokeh is somewhat harsh, but it does the job of isolating the subject well.

The same can be said when shooting selfies in portrait orientation. The image quality is excellent, but the taller aspect ratio allows for more of the environment in the frame, not just in selfies but in videos for social media.
Our thoughts
My first few days using the OPPO Reno15 5G for photography have been fun. All of the cameras produce images that are great in quality, especially the main camera 1x, the 3.5x telephoto, and the selfie camera. The ultra-wide camera's photos could be sharper and more detailed, but it keeps up with the other cameras.
Out of the box, our only concern is the inconsistent exposures between the zoom ranges in select lighting conditions.
We have several sets of images of the same scene, but shot with a different focal length, and the exposures were obviously different. This may be due to the camera app's metering mode averaging the whole scene. I hope they give the option to select the metering mode in the settings in a software update.
Otherwise, the cameras of the OPPO Reno15 5G are looking to be good while being versatile.
Stay tuned for our full review soon.
