To recap, the iPhone 17e represents the latest addition to Apple’s lineup of lower-cost smartphones, offering performance enhancements and updated features.
Apple states that the device is built with durability in mind and includes double the base storage of its predecessor, along with MagSafe charging and satellite-enabled safety features.
The company highlights sustainability efforts in its construction, citing 30 percent recycled content and 85 percent recycled aerospace-grade aluminum. The handset also carries an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It is available in Black, White, and Soft Pink with a matte finish.

The device features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield 2, which Apple says offers three times better scratch resistance and reduced glare.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17e is powered by a 3nm Apple A19 chip with a six-core CPU, four-core GPU, and neural accelerators, enabling console-level gaming and ray tracing. It also includes a 16-core Neural Engine optimized for generative AI tasks and Apple Intelligence features.
According to Apple, the phone delivers all-day battery life and supports USB-C charging, reaching a 50 percent charge in 30 minutes with a 20W adapter. It is also compatible with MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging at up to 15 watts.
The camera system includes a 48MP 2-in-1 Fusion camera with optical-quality 2x telephoto capability, advanced Portrait mode with depth editing, and Night mode. Video capabilities include 4K Dolby Vision at up to 60 frames per second, Spatial Audio recording, and wind noise reduction.
For connectivity, the device uses Apple’s custom C1X 5G modem, which the company says is twice as fast as the previous generation. Satellite-powered features include Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, text messaging, and location tracking through Find My.
The iPhone 17e runs iOS 26, which introduces a Liquid Glass design and Apple Intelligence features such as Live Translation, Call Screening, Hold Assist, and Visual Intelligence.
