New mid-range gaming contender soon?

The device was first spotted in the Geekbench database in January, listed with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 processor and 12GB of RAM. A subsequent leak in February disclosed many of its specifications.

Reports suggest that the device will be available in at least two color options. The GT 50 Pro features a Kevlar-textured rear panel with aerodynamic styling, along with a semi-transparent window that exposes internal cooling channels designed to resemble mechanical components. The window also provides a view of the liquid cooling system in operation.

The cooling system, dubbed Micro-Pump HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture, covers 6,437mm² of diaphragm area with full coverage of core heat zones.

Infinix is also introducing what it calls the MagCharge Cooler 2.0, a wireless charger with bypass charging capability that routes power directly to the motherboard, bypassing the battery under certain conditions to reduce heat buildup. The charger supports 15W wireless charging and 12W active TEC refrigeration.

Among the phone's highlighted features are dual-pressure shoulder triggers, which the company describes as an industry first.

The triggers are rated for over three million presses, offer a 20ms response latency, support up to eight mapping points, and include ten levels of adjustable pressure sensitivity. In addition to gaming applications, the triggers can be used for zoom control in the camera and for launching shortcuts.

Based on prior leaks, the GT 50 Pro is expected to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Storage options are reported at 256GB and 512GB. The camera system consists of a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 13MP front-facing camera.

Battery capacity is listed at either 6,500mAh or 6,150mAh, depending on the market, with support for 45W wired, 30W wireless, 10W reverse wired, and 5W reverse wireless charging.

Official confirmation from Infinix has yet to be issued.
