Smarter editing for creators
With editing tools powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Google wants creators to spend more time in the present, instead of spending hours on their phone, editing content, and managing their posts.
The launch of Android 17, it said, promises to deliver deeper social media integrations and new AI-powered editing tools.
Imagine if instead, you could trade screen time for the chance to be fully present in the moment. That was our goal with Android 17: Deliver a suite of updates to help you, the creator, focus on what matters most, Google said.

Reaction videos are not new to social media users. Given its popularity, Google is making it easier for creators to make reaction videos without switching apps or setting up a green screen. Introducing the Screen Reactions, creators can record themselves and their screen at the same time to directly react to some clips, comments, or the latest gift guide.
Sharing content on Instagram would likewise be a breeze. Google teamed up with Meta to bring the best of Instagram to its users.
What can you expect?
- Ultra HDR capture and playback - Lifelike vibrancy with colors that truly pop.
- Built-in video stabilization - Smooth video for when you're walking, dancing, or just highly caffeinated.
- Night sight integrations - The perfect shot even in the dimmest settings.
Not only those, but Google is also launching new tools to Instagram's Edits app, exclusively for its Android users. The upgrades include smart enhance, upscaling photos and videos with advanced on-device AI, and sound separation.
