HUAWEI has introduced a new variant of its Watch GT Runner 2 smartwatch—the Racing Legend Edition, featuring a distinct colorway and enhanced sports-oriented functionality. 

The special edition wearable is distinguished by a four-tone AirDry nylon strap incorporating dark Blue, Red, White, and Green.

According to HUAWEI, each color carries symbolic significance: Blue represents discipline, Red represents passion, White represents belief, and Green represents persistence.

As with the standard Watch GT Runner 2, the Racing Legend Edition was developed in collaboration with marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge. The partnership this time resulted in notable additions to the wearable's feature set.

Among the highlighted changes is a redesigned watch face that goes beyond displaying basic information such as time, date, and step count. 

Running Mode

The face provides real-time performance data at a glance, including the Running Ability Index (RAI), weekly training totals, VO2 Max readings, and a training index, thus eliminating the need to navigate to a separate application.

The remaining specifications are consistent with the standard model, including positioning accuracy improvements of up to 20%, a dedicated Marathon Mode, a Training Assistant, over 100 sports modes, golf course support, comprehensive health monitoring, and a battery life of up to 14 days.
