The newest Redmi smartphone has seen a lot of rumored names such as the Redmi Pro 2, 7 Pro and the Redmi 7. However, the new smartphone might be named Redmi X and rumors has it that it will have a 48MP camera.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun even posted real photos (not renders) of the latest Redmi phone. The smartphone is said to feature 2.5D glass at the front and back. If true, then it will be a more premium looking device compared to its predecessors. According to the information, it will also come in 3 color variants, black and 2 color gradients.

In the photos, there is a dual camera setup at the back at a vertical orientation. It is said that the 48MP sensor will be able to take great photos at night. You can also see a fingerprint sensor placed at the upper half of the device's back. Other specs are speculated to be a USB-C port, 6.3-inch display and a 4,000mAh battery.
