Smart, OPPO announces partnership to push PH LTE adoption

To further boost LTE smartphone adoption in the Philippines, Smart Communications, Inc. partnered with OPPO, one of the most popular mobile phone brand.

Under the partnership, Smart and OPPO will offer the OPPO A3s to Smart, TNT, and SUN at a discounted price.

First reported here at GIZGUIDE, Smart and OPPO will offer the A3s for just PHP 5,990 from PHP 6,990 to encourage more customers upgrade to a 4G LTE device.

4G LTE is a mobile data technology for that allows users to experience faster upload and download speeds for video streaming and mobile gaming.

OPPO A3s with 700MHz 4G LTE

The partnership also confirmed that the OPPO A3s is 700MHz LTE ready. The extra 700MHz band will allow network companies reach more areas and penetrate even through walls. In short, it will make you LTE mobile internet stronger even when user is indoors.

This partnership is all about making sure that LTE is available for all. It is about making the most popular device, the OPPO A3S, and the Philippines' fastest network, more accessible to more Filipinos, said Carlo Endaya, Smart vice president and head for Prepaid marketing.  

Aside from the discounted price, Smart revealed that the A3s comes with a FREE Smart LTE data for FREE. Upon activation, the customer gets 1GB of data. The user will also get an extra 1GB upon loading PHP 100 within 3 days, valid for 3 days. Smart said it also comes with data rewards for a year, where customers get 500MB for every P150 accumulated load, valid for 3 days.
