In a statement to team GIZGUIDE, FFALCON today shared some clarifications about its new Thunderbird FF1 smartphone.

Manufactured by an independent ODM partner

First, the handset was not co-developed with the technology giant Huawei. Second, the handset is packed with the SD690 SoC, not MediaTek's Dimensity 900 chip.

To those who missed it, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 690 is an octa-core processor based on the 8nm manufacturing process with up to 2.0GHz clock speed, Adreno 619L GPU, and X51 5G modem with sub-6GHz support.

To recap, GIZGUIDE and several reputable only tech publications earlier reported that the new Thunderbird FF1 was co-developed with Huawei.

But, its representative debunked that claim and added that the device is developed solely by FFALCON for sale in the China market. It is said to be manufactured by an independent ODM partner despite having some similarities with current and previous Huawei devices.

FF1 is developed solely by FFALCON for sale in the China market only and is manufactured by an independent ODM partner. FF1 is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G SoC. Mentions about the product being a collaborative effort with another smartphone brand and powered by another chipset are therefore factually incorrect.
