In China, Huawei has launched its latest smartwatch called the Huawei Watch D. It is made of custom-made high hardness aviation-grade aluminum with improved durability and scratch resistance.
It has a 1.64-inch display with HD resolution and 326 ppi retina-level clarity. Huawei states that the Watch D has been granted IP68 water and dust resistance and has been granted a Class II medical device by the Drug Administration of China.
The Watch can monitor the usual health metrics like steps and heart rate. What makes the Watch D unique is the Blood Pressure and ECG monitoring. It features a micropump with a size equal to a dime while having a compression capability of 40kPa. This allows for 40mmHg to 230mmHg blood pressure measurement.
Huawei has developed a hybrid measurement algorithm that makes use of powerful AI computing to further improve the detection and monitoring capabilities of the Watch. The EC tests the user's heart rhythm and electrical activity.
Huawei claims that the watch has a 7-day battery life and it can be charged wirelessly.
The Watch D will be available in Classic Black and Elegant Titanium color options.
