A whole new look?

In September 2021, Samsung began the public test for the Android 12-based One UI 4 in South Korea. 

Fast forward to November, we reported that Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 4 update for Samsung Galaxy S21 series smartphones. Several weeks later in December, our Samsung Galaxy S21 PH unit received the update download notification.

To recap, One UI 4 brings all the new features and improvements of Android 12 while adding reimagined widgets, new color palettes, a wider variety of emojis, stickers and GIFs that will be available on the stock keyboard. The new OS will also bring new privacy features like alerting users when an app is attempting to use the phone's camera or microphone and it will come with a new privacy dashboard that gives users access to privacy-focused features.
