realme 9 5G Speed Edition with SD778G and 144Hz display now official

realme has just launched the realme 9 5G Speed Edition in India.

Faster realme 9 5G?

The device features a fast 144Hz 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio and a punch hole on the top left corner.

Inside is the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, Adreno 642L GPU, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2, 5,000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge Fast Charging via USB-C.

At the back are a triple camera set-up made up of a 48MP f/1.8 main camera, 2MP B&W camera, 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro camera, and an LED flash. While on the punch hole is a 16MP f/2.1 front-facing selfie camera.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack Hi-Res Audio, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou. It also has dual SIM slots and runs Android 11 with realme UI 2.0 skin (will be updated soon to realme UI 3).

It will come in either Starry Glow or Azure Glow colorways. On paper, this is way faster than the realme 9 Pro 5G in PH.

Both variants will be available on the Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart, realme online, and offline stores on March 14, 2022.

There is no word yet on international or Philippine availability and pricing.
