The score breakdown |
vivo X90 Pro+ is currently tied with Google Pixel 7 as the 10th-best camera phone on its list and sits higher than any variant of the
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. On top of the list is still the
HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro.
DxOMark also noted that it represents a "big evolution" coming from the X80 Pro and it is the first they tested with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
The company noted that it has good exposure in most tested conditions for both photo and video, fairly low noise in bright light and indoors for both photo and video, and good detail at all zoom settings. However, it struggles at capturing the moment when shooting moving objects and it lags behind some ultra-premium flagships due to the occasional focus failures and softened details.
To recap, the vivo X90 Pro+ uses a MASSIVE 1-inch big 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with f/1.75 aperture size and OIS, 48MP f/2.2 Sony IMX598 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50MP f/1.6 Sony IMX758 Portrait camera, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B 3.5x telephoto camera.
It also goes with the ZEISS T* coating for clearer shots with minimal glares and the vivo V2 imaging chip with an energy efficiency ratio of 16.3 TOPS per watt which can offer AI, noise reduction, and dynamic range improvements in low-light images.
This handset is currently the best and strongest vivo smartphone on paper.
There is no info if it will be available in the Philippines yet.
